Walk The Generations Pathway

Spiritual Maturity is a lifelong process. It begins the day you are born and continues throughout life. Equipping the generations means that as you and I grow, we lead the next generations spiritually. Leading begins at home with family.

At Christ’s Chapel we believe the church and family should work together to raise the next generation of Christians. We see discipleship as a two sided coin: Church and Family. We believe God designed parents to be the uniquely perfect, primary faith trainers of their children.

If the church and family are to work together to equip the generations, we need a common path to walk on. We call this The Generations Pathway. At Christ’s Chapel our desire is to help parents and children mature along the path. Specifically, Christ’s Chapel will journey with parents as they host family devotions, celebrate milestones, and capitalize on God Moments designed to help their children mature along the path.

3 Primary Objectives for The Generations Pathway…

    A Biblical Foundation

    Deuteronomy 6:4-7
“Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God, the LORD is one. Love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength. These commandments that I give you today are to be upon your hearts. Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up.”

    Joshua 24:15
“But if serving the LORD seems undesirable to you, then choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods your forefathers served beyond the River, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you are living. But as for me and my household, we will serve the LORD."

    Malachi 4:6a
“He will turn the hearts of the fathers to their children, and the hearts of the children to their fathers…”

    Psalm 17:17-18
“Since my youth, O God, you have taught me, and to this day I declare your marvelous deeds. Even when I am old and gray, do not forsake me, O God, until I declare your power to the next generation, your might to all who are to come.”
